Dermatoscopy :

  • Dermoscopy or dermatoscopy refers to the examination of the skin using skin surface microscopy. This allows examination of skin structures and patterns.

  • Dermoscopy is a noninvasive method that allows the in vivo evaluation of colors and microstructures of the epidermis, the dermoepidermal junction, and the papillary dermis not visible to the naked eye.

  • Computer software is used to archive dermoscopy images and allow expert diagnosis and reporting.

  •  This helps in diagnosing following conditions such as Melanoma, Moles, Freckles, Atypical naevi, Blue naevi, Seborrhoeic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, Haemangioma, Nail, and Hair conditions.
