TATTOO/ PIGMENT REMOVAL LASER (Q switched Nd YAG):

The high powered Q-switched laser is the most effective method for removing natural or artificial pigmentation, while minimizing the risk of damage to surrounding tissue.

1064 nm wavelength in the Q-Switched Nd: YAG laser treatment has strong absorption in oxyhemoglobin and melanin. The YAG laser treatment is effective in the treatment of:

  • Pigmentation – removal of unwanted age spots, freckles, moles, melasma and birthmarks.

  • Tattoo Removal – removal of multi-coloured tattoos.

Lasers remove tattoos by breaking up the pigment colors with a high-intensity light beam. Black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest color to treat. Other colors can only be treated by selected lasers based upon the pigment color.

You should first schedule a consultation with doctor who can evaluate your tattoo and advise you on the process. The number of treatments you will need will depend on the age, size, and color(s) of your tattoo.

The laser tattoo removal procedure could take multiple sessions depending on the depth of the ink penetration, the pigment of the color and how your skin responds to the treatment. After each visit, your tattoo should become progressively lighter.
